Use of Paroxetine (Paxil)
Paroxetine (Paxil) is used to treat depression, OCD, anxiety disorder, and menstrual disorder.
Typically, it is taken once daily with food and water. The full benefits of paroxetine may take 4 to 6 weeks to fully set in. Common side effects include upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, dizziness, and insomnia. Avoid alcohol while taking paroxetine because it is a powerful depressant. Do not take paroxetine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning on becoming pregnant because it can harm the fetus.
